Civic Heart Community Services (“Civic Heart”) respects your privacy. This page explains what civicheart.org collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is an interim policy and will be replaced by a full policy after review.

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us. Our contact form asks for your name, email, an optional phone number, a topic and your message. Our volunteer form asks for your first and last name, email, an optional phone number, the role or program you’re interested in, and your availability. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you share.

Please don’t send private details through the website

Our website forms are not meant for case or health information. Please don’t include medical, HIV testing, housing case or other private details, or information about a child. Call us at (713) 374-1200 and we’ll talk privately.

How we use your information

We use it to answer your message, connect you with volunteer opportunities and follow up on your request. Form messages are delivered to our staff by email. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we don’t use it for unrelated marketing without your permission.

Donations

Online gifts are processed by Givebutter on its own secure site, and Givebutter’s privacy policy applies to what you enter there. We don’t see or store your card details. We receive your name, contact information and gift details so we can send your receipt and say thank you.

Website data

This site is hosted by Framer. Like most websites, it may record basic technical information, such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location, to keep the site running and to show us which pages are useful. We don’t use this information to identify you, and we don’t use advertising cookies.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to other organizations, such as The Way Home, 211 and Givebutter. Their privacy practices are their own.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information online. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Program services

This policy covers the website only. Information you share while receiving Civic Heart services is protected under each program’s confidentiality rules, which your case manager or program staff will explain.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete information you sent through this website by emailing info@civicheart.org or calling (713) 374-1200.
